Corrine Bauer and Arthur Muehlheusser 'Green Mountain Coffee' sits on top of the ridge in Koonorigan 250 meters above sea level and is one of the biggest coffee farms in the region with 33,000 trees in production. The Green Mountain Coffee label, 'Byron Aromas' is Australian single estate coffee certified organic by BFA. After purchasing the already established coffee farm in 2006 we applied sustainable farming practices right from the start. We don't use any pesticides, fungicides nor herbicides. As a member of 'Soilcare' and 'Biological Farmers of Australia' we know that a healthy soil means healthy trees. We are constantly improving the quality of our soil and the first part of the farm is already certified organic, the rest is now in transition. Visit ByronAromoas website
Glenn Morris (Billabong, Inverell) and Henry Sheehan (Wilton Park, Grafton) 'FigTrees' developed their organic farms to demonstrate how 'consumer choice' can lead to positive improvements in ecosystem health - ultimately helping people to deliver better health outcomes both to themselves and the environment. When consumers purchase organic food from 'FigTrees' they are also making a decision to help rebuild the foundations of a healthy nation. A healthy living soil, microorganisms, healthy plant communities, a stable climate and effective water cycle. In addition to delivering you the healthiest grass-fed beef we can produce we are also ensuring that through your 'choice' and our management we are restoring a flow of clean pure water back into your river systems and future water supplies.

Pam and Martin Brook Brookfarm is a working farm of approximately 4500 macadamia trees, the majority of which were planted in 1989. At the very centre of our plantation is a regenerated rainforest, with some old re-growth forest. This area is the original home of the macadamia, a native Australian rainforest tree. Over the past 20 years they have planted over 30,000 sub-tropical rainforest and Eucalypt trees. They are passionate about farming in environmentally sustainable ways. Di and Lynton Pratt Our primary objective is to breed and produce 'eco friendly' premium beef holistically, with minimal impact on the environment and the wider community. The driving force behind our livestock and farm management methods is our commitment to a unified synergy between livestock and land. On our initial introduction to cattle breeding and biological farming practices, we implemented rotational grazing and proactive pasture improvement programs, which improved Tumbeelluwa's carrying capacity, increasing kilos of beef per hectare and our farm’s environmental sustainability. Central to our whole farm productivity initiative, is our determination to reduce our livestock's greenhouse emissions, boost ground covers to 100% and raise our pasture’s soil and native forest's carbon sequestration levels, whilst maintaining MSA 'paddock to plate' protocols.
